These are the ornaments I made for my dept at work for Christmas! I think they’re darling. There isn’t really any significance to the colors except that Louisa’s is yellow and burgundy ala Harry Potter and Leslie’s is pink and green because those are her favorite colors… the other three are just pretty colors! I used the yarn from my stockings to make them!

And now 3/4 stockings are blocked. I am finishing knitting the one that was previously done that Rufus chewed a hole in and will block it tonight as well as make the hanging loops. I’m praying that I will be able to do the stitch to get the two pieces together… I’ve never done it before. Eeps! If I really can’t do it it won’t be the end of the world because it is actually my stocking so I will still be able to gift the completed ones! They’ll be ready to be gifted on Tuesday night for a Hanukkah. I will, of course, get a picture of them when they are completed!

I know for a fact that I will not finish Lane’s sweater before X-mas. Sigh. By the time I do get it finished it probably won’t even fit her. I do have something else to give to her though – my favorite wombat book – Diary of a Wombat by Jackie French. It is the most adorable book EVER and the story behind it (which you can see by clicking on that link) just makes it even more precious.

It’s a good thing Christmas is almost over because Rufus has destroyed his sweater. It lasted a good while he wore it a LOT so it’s not surprising. He is still wearing it but it is slowly unraveling and the yarn is just so pulled and destroyed that there is really no point in trying to repair it. So he needs a new one made! Jason is going to buy more yarn today! Hooray!

And today I forgot to wear my ring. OOPS! This is the first and probably not the last time that it will happen. I’d wear it all the time but my sensative skin demands that it gets breathing time so I take it off at night before I shower and leave it off until I leave the apt again (unless I’m walking the dog alone in which case I don’t wear it).  I have forgotten it before but realized it when I was in the elevator so I would just run back up to get it, but today I was at the bus stop so I would have missed my bus if I ran back. I’m kind of sad I don’t have it!!!
