It was unraveling and all-around falling apart so he really needed a new one!

I am currently working on the “Little Sister Dress” for Esme in a cute variegated orange/pink/purple yarn. Very girlie. It’s an easy pattern but it is SLOW and mind-numbing. I needed a project like this after the stockings, though!

Sidenote: I would love this job.

We visited our friends, Jessica and Joel over the weekend and Joel made us some FANTASTIC pizza and cheesecake! He even spun the dough out and everything! I missed the show, but Jason saw it and it was, apparently, quite impressive! That was the true highlight of the weekend – good friends and good food.

I also sold my old white Macbook and got a new aluminum one. I love it.

This weekend we are high-tailing it out of the DC area – we’re going to the lake and bringing Jessica and Joel (and their dog, Foxy) with us – no one should have to deal with the craziness that is surely going to ensue! We are leaving the craziness behind and plan to laze around playing games and watching movies, Jessica and I will knit while Linda and Kathy sew, and Foxy and Rufus (and maybe Riley) will get to run around outside like crazy dogs! OH! And of course we will make smores too! We will be down there Sat-Tues which will be a nice little break!
